Who we are

From our neighborhood in Northern Manhattan, Inwood Indivisible works at the local, state and national levels to create a more fair and just society for all. Our activities include flyering, tabling, phone banking, rallying, meeting with our elected representatives, as well as neighborhood initiatives. We also work with national, statewide and local groups such as Indivisible, NYRenews, Empire State Indivisible and Indivisible Harlem. Since forming in 2016 we have:

  • Called, emailed, and met in person with our elected officials to support universal healthcare, election reforms, reproductive rights, climate change reduction and other key issues.
  • Traveled to other areas of New York to campaign for a progressive state senate.
  • Held postcard-writing and phone banking events to support candidates including Beto O’Rourke and Raphael Warnock.
  • Worked with Billion Oyster Project and other organizations to establish several oyster research stations in Inwood waters.
  • Marched for women and immigrants; rallied for affordable housing and rent protections.
  • Knocked on doors, done informational tabling and handed out leaflets to defeat the “fake Democrats” in the Independent Democratic Conference.
  • Partnered with fellow activist groups to hold candidate forums.
  • Promoted COVID vaccination in Inwood and handed out free COVID tests

Sobre Inwood Indivisible

De nuestro barrio en alto Manhattan, Inwood Indivisible trabaja en niveles locales, estatales y nacionales para resistir la agenda de Trump/Pence y crear una sociedad más justa para todos. Nuestros actividades incluyen distribución de folletos, alcance a la comunidad, manifestaciones, bancas telefónicas, reuniones con nuestros representantes electos, y también iniciativas en el barrio.   • Trabajado Con Billion Oyster Project y otras organizaciones para establecer varios estaciones de investigación de ostras en las aguas de Inwood.
  • Marchado para mujeres y inmigrantes, tenido manifestaciones para viviendas asequibles y protecciones para inquilinos.
